Day trip to Nilkanth Dham Poicha and   Sardar sarovar dam from Bharuch

We started at 9am and covered below 5 places -


(1) Hanuman Dada Temple (Shri Gumandev Temple), Gumandev, Bharuch (Average time spent - 20mins):
This is an ancient place of worship, dedicated to lord Hanuman, attracting people from different parts of the country. Also there are statues of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman inside. There is a Shiv temple also nearby. The Mandir has pleasant and peaceful environment. Temple has been recently renovated.
This place is believed to have an historical story from the time of Mahabharata. Everyone knows that Bheem was one of the most strongest person of that time and somehow he became arrogant about the fact. So inorder to end his arrogance Lord Krishna sent Hanuman ji. The incident when Hanumaan ended the arrogance of bheem took place here.

(2) Harisiddhi mata temple, Rajpipla(Average time spent - 20mins):
The temple is quite big and there are lots of hens and cocks there. My kid tried to catch and play with them.

(3) Rajvant Palace Museum , Rajpipla (http://www.rajvantpalace.com) (Average time spent - 1 hr):
Entry Fee: 50rs per person
An excellent example of modern palaces that were built in the last century. The small museum has a lot inside it. Best location for movies, night shooting and photoshooting natural place. A lot of Gujarati and low budget movies shooting was done here.
Inside the Palace Museum:
The Royal - displays certain personal and ancestral collection of The family in different sections-like glassware, crockery-ware, metal ware, outdoor hunting trophies section, children’s section, music section, spiritual section, family apparel section and family pictures, portraits etc.
There is a 3D picture of the king which changes direction based on your viewing direction.
The Heritage – has the Royal state marble throne, goddess Durga statue, items and photos of the Darbar and religious ceremonies.
The Tribal – has daily use items depicting the living and life style of tribals in this region.

(4) Sardar sarovar dam (http://www.sardarsarovardam.org/tourism.aspx) (Average time spent - 2 hrs):
The Sardar Sarovar Dam is a dam on the Narmada river near Navagam, Gujarat in India. Four Indian states, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharastra and Rajasthan, receive water and electricity supplied from the dam. 
Entry Fee: 50rs for car and 5rs per Person
As a tourist we viewed below points:
(i) World's tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel which is also known as Statue of unity is Under Construction.
(ii) Dam View Point No.3: The original View point which is close to the Dam has basic project information charts, photographs and video. Facilities of drinking water, toilet is also available.
(iii) Lake view: it makes a beautiful scenery of lake made by large water
body between Narmada Dam and Main Canal Head regulator.
(iv) Godbole gate: Control the water body of ponds and while operational, it offers a beautiful pleasant scene of flowing water released back to the river Narmada.
Note: For River Bed Power House (RBPH), “A”Frame Sardar Sarovar Dam and Canal Head Power House (CHPH) permission from the office of the AGM(Admin.),
Gandhinagar is essential.

(5)  Nilkanth Dham Poicha (Average time spent - 6hrs):
Nilkanth Dham Swaminarayan Temple poicha located on bank of river Narmada and have idols of God Vishnu with Sheshnag, Lord Ganesha, Hanumanji, 108 gaumukh, Saptarishi and Vishnu Avatar darshan.Well hygiene food of all kind for every vegetarian lovers Food is very good expecially Gujarat and Punjabi Thali is very good. One can spend full day to visit temple and sahajanana universe.
Mandir Darshan: 9:30AM to 8:00PM
Sahjanand Universe:
Time: 10:30AM to 7:00PM
Exhibition Ticket : Adult 140 Rs / Children 80 Rs
Time required - Approx 4 hours
Sahjanand Universe is the main attractions at poicha where you can see A big Idol of Lord Swaminarayan with height of 151 Ft. At Sahjanand universe complex you can see attractive main gate, nilkanth hrday Kamal, approx 1000 idols related indian culture and hindu pilgrimage, science city, amusement park, water park, boat riding, bhul bhulaiya, horror house, yampuri darshan, lights and sound shows in 3D and theaters.
We returned to Bhauch at 11pm.
