Shramdaan during Watershed Creation Activity at Sukalwadi Village
Participated in Shramdan during Watershed Creation Activity @Sukalwadi Village, Purandar taluka (Pani Foundation) This event was organized by Barclays Citizenship activity volunteers in conjunction with Pani Foundation volunteers. We started from Wakad around 4:45am and picked volunteers from other locations. The total distance was approx 83km. Near the village, there was a railway crossing where we had to stop for 20mins. We reached the village at 7:15am. Approximate 100 volunteers from Barclays joined this event. We joined hand in hand and contributed to the cause. Villagers were very welcoming. We walked through the village's main street and shouted slogans in Hindi and Marathi like "Jal hai to Kal hai" , "tumhala kai pahije, mala pani pahije. Pani kaun denar, Me denar" .
