Book Review: Rich Dad Poor Dad by By Robert T. Kiyosaki Best book to understand the mindset of the rich and poor people. It will also show you the path to getting rich. 1. Rich don't work for money, they make money work for them. Read it again: HOW to use your MONEY to MAKE MONEY for you. 2. It just changes our financial viewpoint towards money. 3. It explains why the poor people try to save money, whereas the rich INVEST. Maximize your assets (everything that puts money in your pocket whether you work or not like if you rent your room to someone) and minimize liabilities (everything that drives money out of your pocket like EMIs). 4. Literally, it gives you freedom from MONEY! 5. Your home is a liability and not an asset. 6. It teaches the financial basics like assets vs liability or cash flow. 7. Book Review: Who Moved My Cheese by Dr. Spencer Johnson

Book Review: Who Moved My Cheese by Dr. Spencer Johnson Key takeaways from this book: 🎁 Change happens. Learn how to deal with it rather than worry about what has happened. 🎁 Anticipate change. There are always signs. Get ready as the cheese keeps moving. 🎁 Monitor change. Smell the cheese often so you know when it is getting old. 🎁 Adapt to change. If you don't change, you can become extinct. Time and tide wait for none. Staying in the comfort zone, dreading change gets you nowhere. In fact, it is fear that prevents us to see greater possibilities. Life is too short to complain or blame others for our misery. The clock won't stop. So does change. Book Review: Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus By John Gray

Image
Book Review: Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus By John Gray What did this book teach me? 1.All people(especially in a relationship) don't react or respond to situations in a similar way 2. You need to respect & accept the dualities (+ve, -ve) of ur partner, so that love has a chance to blossom 3. It gives Awareness about how the opposite sex behave (both ). What're the primary needs of men n women 4. How to give and receive unconditional love. You can do this by making small changes & without any sacrifice to yourself (character). There are many more and it's hard to express here, so better you experience your own. I really appreciate how John Gary has clearly explained the complex thing in a simple way(metamorphs, examples) Note:-No matter, who you're (single or married ) I suggest you go through this book at least once in your lifetime. Book Review - A Love So Special: A Tale of Love and Determination

Image
A Love So Special: A Tale of Love and Determination One of the best books I have read so far. It is close to my heart now. While reading, I would just get lost in the imaginary world of Nikhil and Raghu. Nikhil's character looks real-life father who may not have superpowers but can do anything for his kids. Love has many forms and the writer (Deepak Srivastava) has done justice with all types of love father-son, mother-son, sister-brother, love from unknown people, etc. He has captured the real emotion of a father-son relationship. Kudos 👏👏 People of every age can connect to the story. I told it to my mom and she liked it. 3rd chapter is best, my 6yr old son ( GATIK ) liked it very much. Few chapters made me cry as well. This is really a good book. Good movie material. Click to buy

Oh Mind Relax Please - Book Review

This is a great book to understand what causes out mind tension and how we can deal with it to relax. Following are my learnings from the book [ ] we have to realise that our action are born from our thoughts. Our thoughts are the product of our values, and values come from our own belief system. if we believe life is miserable, we attract misery; if we believe life is beautiful, it will be beautiful. [ ] Life is a like painting and not arithmetic. The painter chooses to create his own world through his art. [ ] Learn ant's qualities- Flexibility Planning Patience Enjoy each moment Commitment TEAM [ ] We have to wait; our struggle have a cosmic purpose. When our wishes are not fulfilled, it gives us pain. But the Universe has its own plans. Remember how a pot is made from mud by curning n heating. This seems struggle to that mud but the clayman has converted it into a beautiful pot. [ ] Heart of the Education is Educating the Heart. [ ] Faith does not move mountains. ...

High Five - Book Review

High Five (The magic of working together) This is a great book to understand how a team can be a high five team and how you can be a good team player. Basically, an individual can achieve more if s/he is working in a good team. This is a story of a person who got fired from his job in spite of his good individual performance. The reason was that he was not a team player. He started working with a class 5th ice hockey team and with the help of an old lady's wisdom, he discovered the following 4  points which changed his life. These are well described by acronym  P.U.C.K. (1) Providing a clear sense of purpose with values and goals to the team. (2) Unleashing and developing skills. Continuously building individual skills that in turn bolstered collective skills. (3) Creating team power "None of us is as smart as all of us" (4) Keeping the accent on the positive by repeated reward and recognition. Deliberately sought instances where the behavior of people is alig...
