We started at 7am from Srinagar and reached Pahalgam at 10am. On the way, we stopped for breakfast at an Apple Garden and enjoyed tasty apple juice and food.

We stayed in Hotel Betab Palace in Laripora, Pahalgam. The room was good with an excellent market view.
I think one should avoid booking a hotel in Chandanwadi or Aru valley because tourist vehicles can't go there. Only a union taxi can go.

We hired a local Union Van for visiting Chandanwadi, Betab Valley, and Aru Valley for 2100rs. The hotel called the driver and he picked us up from the hotel itself. Taxi driver gives you only 1 hr for each place. If it goes above it then they charge 400rs extra for each hour. Please make sure you show time to the driver before and after each point.

We had our dinner and breakfast at Pradeep Dhaba. It was tasty and similar to homemade food.

On the way from Pahalgam to Jammu, we enjoyed the ride through the Chenani Nashri tunnel which is 9.2km long and recently inaugurated by PM Modi.

Places To Visit In Pahalgam 

Lidder River

It is all around Pahalgam. River views are soothing.

Chandanwadi:

We can see the starting camp of the Amarnath yatra while going to Chandanwadi.

The journey is better than the destination.
The view of the valley while driving towards Chandanwari is breathtaking. Once we reached Chandanwari, we expected something more beautiful. However, all our hopes fell flat. It was just a glacier with dirty snow on the mountain. The reason is that from April onward the snow starts melting and starts mixing with the soil and becomes quite dirty.
if you are visiting  Sonmarg, it is not necessary for anybody to visit Chandanwadi.

Glacier has a good degree of the slope where you cannot climb up more. While coming down you won't reach down without slipping. So please be careful while coming down the slope.

You are allowed only one hour in each spot by the taxi walas. But we don't need one hour for this spot. There is nothing other than the glacier.
We had tasty bread pakoda here.

Betab Valley

Entry ticket: 100rs for Adults and 50rs for kids. The ticket is a bit costly.

The Betab Valley gets its name from the 1983 Bollywood film "Betaab", starring Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh, which was shot in this valley. 
The valley lies northeast of Pahalgam and falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwadi. 

A very serene and scenic place to visit. We visited in the month of May. A big field with lots of trees, a river with several bridges, giving up good photos.
You get so many amazing views and locations to get yourself clicked for a lifetime memory. 
Everything cannot be captured by a camera.
We also clicked pictures with some cute animals and birds here.

Aru Valley

 When we reached there we got to know that we need to do a pony ride to reach the actual Aru valley sightseeing which will take around 1.5hr. We had only 1 hr to visit Aru Valley and we did not want to do a pony ride again so we enjoyed the garden which is located at the start. We clicked pictured with white pigeons.

Mamaleshwar Temple, Pahalgam

This is a very old Shiva temple, people worship here before starting to Amarnath Yatra. 
Located in Mamal Village in Pahalgam. It is around 1 km distance from Pahalgam main market (take the turn from the Petrol pump), you need to pass the CRPF security zone.
The small spring before the temple is crystal clear and quite normal in temperature. Though it's still water it doesn't freeze.

Martanda Surya Temple, Anantnag

The Martand Sun Temple, aka Pondao temple, is a Hindu temple located near the city of Anantnag, Anantnag district in J&K.  Surya is also known by the Sanskrit-language synonym Martand (मार्तंड, Mārtanda). It is 3km off route in Anantnag between Pahalgam and Jammu.
It was closed due to the Governor's Visit on the 7th of May so we watched it from outside only.

On a sunny day, it's magic as the sun gets set inside the main temple block.
