Pahalgam Trip

Image
Pahalgam  Date of visit:  6 May 2022 We started at 7am from Srinagar and reached Pahalgam at 10am. On the way, we stopped for breakfast at an Apple Garden and enjoyed tasty apple juice and food. We stayed in Hotel Betab Palace in Laripora, Pahalgam. The room was good with an excellent market view. I think one should avoid booking a hotel in Chandanwadi or Aru valley because tourist vehicles can't go there. Only a union taxi can go. We hired a local Union Van for visiting Chandanwadi, Betab Valley, and Aru Valley for 2100rs. The hotel called the driver and he picked us up from the hotel itself. Taxi driver gives you only 1 hr for each place. If it goes above it then they charge 400rs extra for each hour. Please make sure you show time to the driver before and after each point. We had our dinner and breakfast at Pradeep Dhaba. It was tasty and similar to homemade food. On the way from Pahalgam to Jammu, we enjoyed the ride through the Chenani Nashri tunnel which is 9.2km long a...

The place is called Doodh Pathri for its milky white water. A day trip is sufficient to witness the magnificence of this place. it has become a real hit among the local population On 5th May 2022, we started from Srinagar to Doodhpathri around 10am. It was a 50km drive which took around 2.5 hr. Our taxi driver parked the vehicle in parking. From there we had the option of doing sightseeing either by horse/pony (charge 1200rs each) or by walking. Pony people will tell you that you can't reach Doodhganga (Shaliganga) by walking whereas the truth is that you can go. Some people later said that y...
