Kids Trip to Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park (Katraj zoo)

Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park

Timing: 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM. Wednesday Closed.
Parking: Parking is available. 30rs for 4 wheelers and 20rs for 2 wheelers.
Ticket :
           Adult -₹ 40. per person.
Kids - ₹ 10. (height should be less than 4 feet.)
           Foreigner- ₹100 per person
           And 50 camera

How to cover this place:

You can see the whole zoo by walk or by Battery Operated Vehicle (each person Cost - 100₹) or You also get a bicycle on rent inside the park itself.
Note:
(1) Plan for 2.5 -4 hours to visit it completely
(2) PLASTIC BAGS ARE STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED. Don't carry plastic bags they deposit it at the counter and give a paper bag for RS 5-10. One thing I liked, if you carry packed plastic water bottles..you need to give Rs 10 per bottle at the counter and when you return back and show them the bottle, they would return the money back. Good for forcing people to stop throwing plastic.

Food and water:

(1) You can carry your food inside the zoo.
(2)  Lots of drinking water points inside, which is really good.
(3) No food available inside but outside there is a nice "chopati" for street food

What you can see:

(1)The snake park has different types of Reptiles. This includes Indian rock python, cobra, snakes, vipers, Indian crocodiles, and Indian star tortoise.
(2) People say the White tiger is the main attraction of this zoo. But when we visited it was not there.
(3) Many varieties of Monkeys and Dears ( include dear, sambhars, barking deer, blackbucks) available here.
(4) Bird section: white Peacock, National bird Peacock, and Eagle can be seen. There is a lake also here with its fantastic view.
(5) There are 2 old Elephants and 2 sloth Beers.
(6) The best attraction or "Paisa vasool" is Tiger watching. There are 4 tigers and they will make you feel fantastic with their playful activities.
